Transfer Students

This form gives us information about your current classes. If you are currently enrolled in your first term of college, this report is required. For all other students, it is optional. (You may want to submit this report if your grades in current classes are part of an upward trajectory.)

Clark has articulation agreements with two colleges in the area, which offer guidelines to make transferring course credit between their two-year liberal arts programs and Clark’s four-year B.A. program a straightforward process. If you meet these and all other Clark admissions criteria, you have a general guarantee of admission.

To qualify, you must:

• Attend Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester or Mount Wachusett Community College in Gardner.
• Earn an associate’s degree in liberal studies and have a GPA above 3.0.
• Have taken several courses above 100-level or equivalent.
• Complete a transfer application to Clark by May 1 for the fall semester or Nov. 1 for the spring semester.

If you are a U.S. student or international student transferring from an American college or university, up to 50 percent of Clark’s degree and major requirements may be accepted in transfer. That means you may be able to transfer up to 64 credits (or 16 Clark units). You have to complete at least two academic years at Clark in order to receive a Clark degree.

You will receive Clark credit for most liberal arts courses taken at regionally accredited colleges or universities as long as you earned a grade of C or better. You will be given a transfer credit evaluation at the time of admission. Outside seminars, internships, and remedial or vocational coursework are not transferable to Clark’s curriculum. Online courses will be considered for credit if taken through a regionally accredited institution and only with a grade of C or better.

International students applying for transfer admission from colleges and universities outside the United States must submit their academic records to a foreign credential evaluation service (see below) to receive transfer credit from Clark. This service provides information to assist in determining a student’s GPA relative to the American grading system, the transfer eligibility of university-level coursework, and the determination of class standing. Securing the evaluation and costs associated are your responsibility. An application without this evaluation will not be considered for admission.
